7 November 2026: reference implementation and test vectors published§

The repository now contains a reference implementation of the recognition function (TypeScript, no dependencies), 15 recognition vectors and 5 inference vectors, and a command-line verifier: node reference/verify.mjs. See Conformance.

7 November 2026: specification draft v0.1 prepared§

The first draft of the Sanad specification (data model, recognition function, transparency log, privacy and threats) has been written and is open for discussion. It has not been reviewed by a standards body, a lawyer or an external cryptographer. See the specification.

7 November 2026: name and legal form decided§

The protocol is called Sanad. The Open Sanad Foundation is to be established in the United Arab Emirates; until it exists, Dr. Arash Kermani Kolankeh acts as interim steward. See Governance.

7 November 2026: website published in draft§

sanadprotocol.org is online in English, with a draft translation in German. It uses no cookies, no analytics and no external requests.
